Dropped Anchor

Our Facilities

Guests visiting Dropped Anchor will find all the facilities they need for a comfortable stay.

We have a quirky shepherds hut with 2 flushing toilets, 2 spacious shower and toilet rooms both with a corner cubicle offering a free hot shower a gentlemen’s urinals and a hot water dish wash area.

Toilets & Showers

On site we have 2 lovely free hot showers rooms with a toilet in each.

New for 2022 we had a fabulous addition to the campsite a shepherds hut with 2 more toilets a lovely quirky feature to Dropped Anchor’s facilities

We also have a gentlemen’s urinals and a CDP (chemical disposal point) for touring Caravans and Motorhomes

Wet Suit Wash

Here we have a large freshwater rain tub to wash of those salty Sandy wetsuits and toes, it certainly makes life so easy when you’ve just come off the beach

Recycling Area

We have several bins which are all clearly labelled for recycling, Glass, hard plastic, cardboard, tins and general waste.

We ask all campers to please be mindful of waste and to recycle wherever possible.

We like to encourage campers to refill plastic bottles wherever possible, our water is mains connected so is good Cornish drinking water.

Picnic Benches

We have free picnic benches on all pitches so no need to worry about packing all those tables and chairs.

Wet Suit Hire

We have quite a few wetsuits on site that can be hired out for the day.

Adults and big kids £5 for the day

Children just £4 for the day

Recreational Area

We have a large area in the centre of the field where children, kids and adults can all join in on some well deserved recreational time.

The area is big enough for all to enjoy ball games, frisbees, tick, kite flying etc.

Dish Wash Area

We have a small dish wash area located at the back of the facilities which has now got lovely hot and cold water so easy to clean those greasy Bacon butty pans, there is a drainer and some extra bowls for everyone’s use.

Shop

We have a small shop on site that sells firewood, kindling, BBQ coal, chocolate, marshmallows, local crafts, Dropped Anchor merchandise and some essential camping items, we also have a small fridge selling milk, bacon, cheese and cold cans of pop

When the shop is closed there is an

Honesty box that sells that all important fire pit wood, kindling and marshmallows.

The horse box shop also has a notice board on one side with all kinds of information and on the back is a welcome board and site plan.
