Animal charity

We love having your four legged family members stay here at Dropped Anchor campsite. We decided from the start not to charge for there stay but after a couple of years decoded to instead ask campers to donate to a local anilmal charity for their stay, which has proved to be so succesfull and we are so proud of the money we have raised.

For our first year summer 2019 we supported Belenowe Animal Sanctuary

and raised just over £106

Our 2nd year summer 2020 we supported

Last Chance Hotel

and raised a grand total of £229

Summer 2021 supporting again

Last Chance Hotel

we raised an amazing £613.90

Summer 2022 total has yet to be calculated.

We are totally blown away and so proud of the support we have received from our wonderful campers.

So to all that have and will donate we want to say a huge THANKYOU

We stayed at Debbie’s lovely site on a very rainy night but although very wet it was made up for in how tranquil it was. Debbie was super friendly and the campsite was exactly what we love. Lovely and quiet, friendly, clean and beautiful. I loved the little kind notes that asked you in the most lovely, clear way how keep everyone safe in the current covid pandemic. Thank you again for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back.
